The Diary of Anne Frank
Lewiston
The Diary of Anne Frank Performing January 26-February 12, 2012 Directed by Shirlee Hennigan Rated PG From 1942 to 1944 Anne Frank hid, with her family, during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Her famous diary of this period has become a classic of world literature, published in more than 60 languages. The play is a dramatization of the book. Written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, who won the Pulitzer Prize for their work, the play won the 1955 Tony Award. Susan Strasburg starred as Anne in the original production. The 1997 revial, (adapted by Wendy Kesselman,) starred Natalie Portman as Anne. This version was nominated for the 1999 Tony awards Best Revival. In addition to the many published editions of the diary, and the two stage versions, Goodrich and Hackett also wrote the 1959 film version. It is with great pride that we bring this classic literature to our stage.

Fred's Golden Follies Performing February 16-25, 2012 At Lewiston's First Vaudville Theatre The Mason Building 855 Main Street Lewiston, Idaho Directed by Fred Sheibe Musical Direction by Sharon Warner Rated PG Come celebrate 50 years of the Lewiston Civic Theatre with Fred's Golden Follies, featuring the Broadway music from 50 seasons of excellent Civic performances this musical revue embodies the historical spirit of our theatre community. Located in the Masonic Temple downtown, the site of Lewiston's very first theatre, this delightful show will make the perfect Valentine get away. In addition to fabulous song and dance, we will be serving five delectable tastes of chocolate, offering a selection of wines, and will be providing coffee and punch for your enjoyment. Sunday is Family Day! Sunday, February 19th, we invite you to bring the whole family down to enjoy a matinee performance of the Follies.
